Backups
We take regular back ups of your database and application, and can quickly restore them in the event of catastrophe.
However this is unlikely to be necessary as we have the database load-balanced over several servers, meaning a hardware failure will not take down your whole site.
Performance Monitoring
All our applications are monitored by an external agent which provides reports on response times over the day and week, and summarises this in an email.
This means we can easily assess if there are performance problems or spikes in traffic.
Traffic Monitoring
Additional monitoring allows us to measure traffic to the site, the pages they visit, their origin, and much more.
This is then summarised to provide useful data about the most popular pages, where people are clicking, how they’re finding your site and keywords they’re searching for.
Secure Environment
Our servers are based in the UK in a secure hosting facility with UPS and battery backup, network and server monitoring and automated fail over.
It has 24/7 manned security on-site with CCTV. Access is restricted to staff with ID cards for the facility or when arranged in advance by authorised people with photo ID.
The facility has multiple layers of security:
- The front door is only opened for people with cards or access booked.
- The hosting rooms have another electronic lock, which only opens for authorised people.
- The caged areas within the rooms have another type of lock.
- Within those cages the individual cabinets are also locked.
Staging Environment
As part of our one day challenge we get your site prototype live the same day in a special staging (preview) environment.
This means you begin using your application almost immediately and you can track its progress daily, with new features coming online as they’re developed.
So our development process is completely transparent, you know what you’re getting and can feed back immediately and have this incorporated in the application in near real time.
